When did the Beatles’ Greatest Hits become the most downloaded album of all time?

A new study published by Soundcloud shows that the Beatles classic “Let It Be” has become the fifth most downloaded song of all-time, behind only Adele, Adele’s “Someone Like You” and the Beatles “Let it Be.”

In the past year, the song has topped Billboard’s Hot 100 list four times and the top 10 charts in both iTunes and Spotify.

It is also currently the most played song in the U.S. The song was featured on the cover of Time Magazine’s 2017 edition.

The study, conducted by Nielsen SoundScan, also revealed that “Let This Be” ranks No. 1 in overall streaming listenership and No. 2 in the top 20 of songs downloaded per month.

It also ranks as the third most played on Spotify, behind “We Will Rock You” by Drake and “One Love” by Katy Perry.

It was featured in Billboard’s 2017 Album of the Year, and has been downloaded over 7 million times.
